2023 was highly prolific for Trikk: he released the four-track EP Absolute Body Control, the album Fauna & Flora, several singles, and many remixes to songs by fellow producers Tamada, Cubicolor, or VTSS, among others. This unstoppable creative force is continuing to give the audience what they need: more music. After releasing this year’s first single with Berlin-based label Innervisions, titled Rigor, the Portuguese-Mozambican producer is ready for part two: Luxo. It’s out today, so have a listen!
With an incredible attention to detail and a careful selection of imprints to publish his music (including Innervisions, Lossless and Optimo Music), Trikk is a widely respected artist both by the industry and the audience. And if you didn’t have him on your radar, now you do, because he’s an unmissable figure shaping today’s electronic. Characterised by a blend of industrial music, post-punk, and more organic rhythms, his unique balance between harder and softer sounds has made the world fall head over heels with his excellent taste.
In Luxo, the producer and DJ stays true to his identity by pairing sounds that might look odd or hard to work with to less experienced artists. Riding the wave a long a warm and catchy bassline,  his new single also features electronic percussion that turns more and more organic as it evolves throughout its seven minutes of duration, as well as some vocals that give it a sort of ritualistic vibe.
The artwork for Luxo has been made in collaboration with The Royal Studio, founded by Joao Castro. Together with Trikk, they’ve crafted a self-portrait of the artist that aims to convey and evoke the essence of the music.
